Can anyone shed some light on the cut of the lapper. When I first bought the boat, I could never seem to blade out the sail because of where the car leads were placed in relation to the sail. Later on I was told that I needed to get the tack of the sail off the deck 12 or more inches. This has solved the problem, but just seems a bit strange. I want to order a new lapper for next year, so I want to reconfirm that this is indeed the correct cut and way to trim the sail.

Thanks for any input,
Scott
