The engine is mad at me again. Yesterday I ran the engine to pump antifreeze through the system. The coolant was pumping out of a hole on the top of the cylinder. I don't see anything in the shop manual. I'm hoping this is a frost plug or something like that. I'll be investigating more this morning. If you have experience with this I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Yes there is a frostplug on top of the cylinder and one on each side of the cylinder. If that plug popped because it froze you'll also need to check the thermostat housing to see if it's cracked too. Check your oil level and oil color to see if water has mixed with the oil... this would indicate a cracked cylinder head.

All else appears ok. Would you just apply permatex engine gasket sealer and tap it back in? sj

Yes if it isn't deformed. I have seen those pop out on their own for no good reason so perhaps that's all it is. Look at how far the others are sunk in and you'll be able to gauge how far to hammer it in. I use a socket that fits it to hammer it in.
