I have a vent just forward of the sliding hatch. Can I lift the boat by running chain through vent hole and anchoring to my keel bolts? If so, is there anything I should be concerned about?
Thanks
Ed

Go to http://www.laser28.com">www.laser28.com.  There are detailed instructions on single point lifting including a bracket design which attaches to the keel bolts.  You'll need to get a machine shop fabricate the lifting bracket.  Easy to install, you can even do it while the boats in the water.

PS use a nylon sling not a chain.
