Muffler questions
I have had the boat four years. The bilge was dry until four weeks into the season.I found two round approx. 1/8th" holes in the starboard end of the muffler,no bolts/plugs to suggest that someone made drainage holes. The metal seems solid, does not seem to be rusting out. What could this be and how to fix? There is very little room to work. If I need to take the muffler out,any tips? Temporarily,I have plugged the holes with bolts covered with filler that thread in but loosely. Thanks Bob

Was there exhaust and water coming out of the holes while the engine ran?

Yes
This is new, started a little over a month ago. Water spurts out through the two holes with the engine running. The holes look round as if someone drilled them. The holes do not seem to have a norm size however. I look forward to your thoughts. Thanks Bob |

Is this a stainless muffler or a plastic muffler?
