I looked around but could not find what the recommended angle of heel should be, a challange I had this past year was being consistent on my heel so I turn to you all.  :)bill

minimum heel is fastest providing you can get the sails set right to do it.

Yes, as flat as you can is best. In the early days, we used to have a lev-o-gage on the boat and made sure we would always keep it under 10 or 15 degrees. The gage is not on the boat anymore, we just go by feel. The helm should feel neutral.

The fastest boats in the class are the ones sailed flat or the flattest for the conditions.
