Aideas on mast electrical connection?

   Greetings all.  I am wondering if anyone has come up with an alternative for the connector at the base of the mast for the lights.  WHile I appreacite the idea the placement seems to be perfect for kicking, stepping, stomping... well, you get the idea.  I was thinking of pulling the line to the back of the mast and using a trailor flat 4 connector and attaching it under the vang.  I figure someone has found a better way so I turn to you all for guidance!   Thanks, :)bill
