Has anyone worked trying to find a substitute fuel filter for the Bukh Part Number 620 L 0618? Someone must make a less expensive filter that would work. I went to NAPA and they could not match it. I don't replace mine every year, but when the battery is good, the temperature is in the 70's or higher, and the engine is slow to start (requiring more than normal throttle), I know it is time to change the filter. Don't forget to bleed your fuel lines, both the lower pressure and the high pressure.

Hey Bill,
Got your email thx....guess it was just a glitch :) I never found one that worked.... I once got one from the autoparts store that screwed on but it was longer. However it rubbed hard on the high pressure pipe and failed rather quickly(started leaking). A shorter version couldn't be located. It is an Italian part though. Hope this helps |

Hello Bill,
I was wondering if you had any luck finding a fuel filter that worked. I found that Napa and Wix do have a replacement filter but it is longer as Bill Layton noted and I do not want to have the same experience that he described. Otherwise, did you find if the Italian model is even available and where it could be purchased? |

does anyone have the NAPA or WIX part number? I see no reason that the filter mount can't be moved or shimmed to accommodate a longer filter.

It's been installed, but I still haven't started the Bukh, I am erasing 20yrs of neglect and it's taking longer than I would like. I'll post after it's up and running but am confident with it.
