Be sure to read Marine Head this web site under General Form section Topics "All" along with Holding Tank Repair this web site under Maintenance section Topics "All" Page 3. If you are getting an a strong odor and have plastic hoses, the smell may be coming from the hose. I had a crack in one of the nozzles on my holding tank. The only way to really check the tank is to remove it, which is not a big deal. Hope this helps, Bill
