Where can I buy some zinc anodes and replacement hull-skin for the saildrive exit? Anyone put a plate instead of a skin? What type? Thanks.

North Jersey Marine in the US:  973 546-6377

Crinmar in Canada: 866 274-6261

We have a huge problem with marine growth so I decided a teflon skin would be easier to keep clean than the rubber seal that comes from Bukh.   The previous owner modified the boat so that two thin stainless plates are used to hold the skin in.  The plates fit around the shaft and are held in place by screws threaded into inserts which are cast in the hull.

You might try adhearing a teflon to the hull using a glue like the stock rubber is meant to.  But you will need to find teflon sheets that are specifically meant to be glued.
