Exposed line on outhaul let go last night while racing.  In boom wire it was attached to seems fine, just need some idea how to get a new line reattached to the wire, in to the boom where the inset block attaches to the bottom of the boom.  I'm guessing I need to take the aft boom cap off an do some fishing, but does anyone know how the wire runs inside the boom?

That is correct Ron, you need to remove the end cap on the end of the boom and you will then have access to that wire end. You'll have to remove the front cap as well as that will show you how the 2:1 rope system was attached. It all makes sense once it's apart.

Sometimes the block that is swaged onto the wire end needs to be replaced. You'll understand once it's all apart.

Ahhh 2-1.  OK.  Fun fun fun, drilling rivets out and fishing around in the boom.

Thanks for the info Bill,
