Read a post somewhere else that said the factory through hulls are in solid glass on the Laser . Nice if true - anyone know if they are ?

Yes all thru hulls are solid glass. The entire keel grid area with instrument thru hulls, it's all solid glass and or kevlar. No foam core in that area. Same with rudder flanges and some thru hulls. Nothing goes thru just foam, cored areas for thru hulls are filled with solid fiberglass, then it's drilled out in solid material before the thru hull is installed.

Hi Bill,
I need to replace the thru hull of the anchor locker drain hose. The fitting broke at the interior. Storage below must have pushed against it... Do you know of a replacement thru hull fitting? Or better yet, one with a seacock? With the fitting broke it essentially is now a hole just above the waterline allowing water in the boat!

I cannot remember what that part was. You'll have to measure the broken part to find the correct size replacement.

Thanks for the quick reply Bill! Ok, just thought I'd inquire. Will look for the replacement.

That drain is not under pressure. Just epoxy an angled pvc tube in place; diameter to fit your drain hose. js
