Just checking, I am mounting a wind transducer on the mast head. It states that it needs to be level or add a shim. The old wind transducer did not have a shim however, with the slopeing deck, raked mast and a masthead that looks like it's sloped, it is hard to tell. I am sure someone else here had the same dilema......

If the top of your mast head crane isn't parallel with the water than you have to factor that adjustment into your wand installation. Nothing more needs to be done.

I checked my manual for ST 60 and it can be recalibrated- however ,the few degrees that the mast tilts back will not I think, induce much of an error. Even at,say 10% 12 knots becomes 10.8 or 13.2-no great mischief. We saw 49.6 last year-was this the true windspeed? The rail was in the water with all sails down and we were pretty sure that it was VERY windy.
