Key West Race Week 09/Worlds?

   I sailed at Key West this year on a B-25 and had a blast. This got me to thinking...why not rally the troops and get our Laser 28's down there. 

Here are a couple more thoughts:

I think 09 is the right time because it would give us all ample time to prepare and plan.
Why Key West--most of us live in the cold and it is a great way to enjoy the warm weather. Also great racing. You can expect 9 races.
I think that we can get 2-3 boats from my club. That means we would need about 4-5 more to get our own start.
Cost--This year the total including gas, launch, dock, race fees, lodging, etc. split 5 ways $800USD. So it can be done for a reasonable cost.

I am interested to see if there is any interest in something of this nature. If there is, I would be happy to be the guy to get things going.

	There are two Laser's in Flrorida; both have trailers. I'd bring mine. If the other owner didn't i bet he'd charter.

	Looks like we have a soft commitment from 4 boats. Others?
