My boat has a single battery from the previous owner and I'd like to replace that with a pair of new batteries. I'm interested in the sealed, AGM style battery. Do you have any comments on what size or style battery you are running? I'm not sure what the minimum requirement for the Bukh is... Thanks, john |

I got a response to this question on boatdiesel.com ... Any group 24 battery will be sufficient to start the bukh. john |

Be careful of the maximum charging voltage the AGM can take. I know that GEL cells don't like more than 14.2 (bukh alternator puts out 14.7-15.0). For day racing a lawn tractor size battery will get the motor started! K werner WarBird169 |
