Getting ready to launch the boat this weekend, and as I was
going through the mast set up, I could find only 2 rubber inserts for the
shrouds. Manual indicates I need 4 for all 4 shrouds. Where can I get some
more? Or can I get by without them. I was thinking use the 2 for the uppers and
I can always go up the mast to insert the other 2 when I get them in. Thanks |

Seawolf, these rubber plug's main purpose is to keep the shroud hooks properly aligned when lifting the mast. Not having them means that a shroud hook can pop out of the mast or get out of alignment when you manipulate the mast before stepping it.
We don't have them anymore so we make sure that all the shrouds are properly aligned when the mast was just stepped before putting any tension on the rig. Once rig tension is on and all is aligned, these plugs have no purpose. |
