In cape town we use with success.

 a light no 1 for below 12knts

a heavy no1 for above till about 20knts

then we either move to th class lapper or our blade no 3 with battens similar to the lapper but a bit smaller. After that it's down to a no 4 for those 40knt days. 

We do have abulb so we carrie alot of sail for longer.  with the blade we have been able to sail through the lee of a not to well sailed farr38.

The class sails jump from the lapper (106) to the Genny 155.  I am wondering if there is any experience with sailing with ïnbetween"sails - 120 to 130 percent for non-class racing.  We seem to get winds that we are overpowered with the Genny but can't get the speed with a jib.
