No this is not a Laser 28... not even a prototype. However the pics of the saildrive looks the same as ours.

Speaking of Is it a Laser, Here is a question for Bill Layton. This boat is setting in Buffalo NY and the yard people tell me its a Laser 26. Could this be one of the prototypes. It does have a ridge running from the Keel to the rudder which I understand the prototypes did. There is no saildrive and the traveler is located in front of the cockpit.

Is it me or does that look like an L28 peeking out behind the Pearson 26 in the November issue of SAIL magazine (p10)? Nice story about restoring a classic but the fast boat (me? biased?) looks familiar!
