This works great - no effort at all. He has also rigged a stand at the back with a bow roller on it so we can just roll the mast back no need to hold it while putting in the pin . You could almost do it by yourself , all those bodies are not necessary but we all have fun helping out and Mike always has rum on board .

I use a 4:1 mainsheet system to raise the mast. I lock the halyard and pull the mast up with the 4:1 system. I can stop anywhere along the lift. you can see I keep the jin pole straight by hand. It makes the job a lot easier. No more muscle needed to lift it up. I can do it with two people. The only tough part now is getting the pivot bolt in. That is my next project.
