Harken states that the torlon bearings must be sprayed with McLube annually. I found mine got a lumpy feeling, like the bearings weren't round. After spraying Mclube it was perfect again for another year. Mine never jammed though. Check your track where the bearings ride against visually. Clean with water hose, wipe down track with a rag, let dry and spray with Mclube.

Installed a brand new 27mm Harken traveler with new bolt on track on my boat last spring. Worked perfectly under load until end of season when it started to get stuck.
Any idea of what could be the issue here? Thanks! JF |
