Hi. I was wondering if someone could let me know where I could procure wood for redoing the wood floors of my boat. What spec is the most appropriate? What kind of Vernis should I apply? It should ideally be in the Montreal or Eastern Township area. Thanks so much. Jean-Pierre Kiekens

Only people I know that supply Teak & Holly for flooring is Noah's marine supply in toronto (google it). The Montreal suppliers do not carry Teak & Holly marine ply. You need a 4 x 8 sheet 3/8" thick

I am in the Toronto area. I am going to pick up my new to me Laser 28 in May. I can pick up a piece and bring it with me. It is looking like Victoria Day weekend.

Thanks Bill.
I was wondering what would be the next best choice - not as pricey, that would work? Is BC fir ply possibly an option ? (it is about 20 times cheaper ...). Best Jean-Pierre |

Okume marine ply is available in Montreal @ $66 per sheet here http://www.langevinforest.com/fr This is the cheapest suitable wood but doesn't have the esthetic value of teak & holly
