With a couple of the screws for the impeller cover being a bit finicky to remove unless you have a really small screwdriver, I'm wondering if anyone has replaced these with 319 stainless thumb screws and how that went?
Also, I came across this company that manufacturers aftermarket impeller covers (also with thumb screws). They have two models. The first is a regular cover while the second has a cover with a spinning teflon bushing built into the cover itself. This apparently increases impeller life generally and also delays impeller damage in an overheating situation. www.speedseal.com The prices seem a bit high for the product but how much is it worth to you to not have pieces of impeller clogging your water cooling system, right? |
